After the success of his recent international record, “Microdosing” feat. Nik Tendo (Which debuted at No. 25 in the Czech Republic and has accumulated over half a million streams since its release in October 2021), Lord D’Andre is back with his first release of 2022.
"Sell My Soul" is a fun experimental trap banger, somewhat reminiscent of a fire Young Thug and Travis Scott collaboration. Lord D’Andre playfully bounces his high pitched raspy vocals all over the place, experimenting with a multitude of unpredictable cadences and rhythms. The instrumental (produced by ATO) pairs an old school funk/soul sample with hard 808-heavy drums. When combined with Lord’s unique vocal performance, this mixture gives a somewhat nostalgic feel to a new innovative sound. If you have not yet heard, click here to give the track a listen.
Last Night (Feb. 12th 2022), Lord D'Andre held a public listening event in Atlanta, GA where he gave a theatrical performance of some of his most popular songs and concluded the show with a crazy Live performance of "Sell My Soul." The Official Music Video for "Sell My Soul" was also released earlier today (at 3:13pm EST , Feb. 13th 2022). Lord D'Andre teamed up with long time collaborator/friend/videographer NateBoi Visuals to create a dark cryptic visual depiction of this record's underlying meaning.
